People can be hurting, and much of the hurt can be directed towards cynicism rather than organisation. Effective organisation has to be focused on something, something bigger and inclusive. We need to think when working on painting a leaf of the picture or other small details we are in the knowledge that others are doing the same – in order to create the big picture. (vision)
It is not so much a case of convincing ourselves we can do the work, it is easy to see we can. What we need is to create the confidence that the work is worthy of our time and resources and that there is a continuity about it that looks as if it can achieve the desired results, that being, winning something. Attempting small achievable aims towards the ideas for achieving bigger things is a guard against cynicism brought on by big ideas based on fantasy.
